Since its inception in 1962, Dawood College of Engineering & Technology (DCET) has been making sincere efforts and vanguard in developing potential youth of the nation in the field of engineering & technology. DCET's leading objective is not just to provide teaching facility; but impart education across the nation. DCET is committed to academic excellence. Continuing with the vision DCET established the Department of Computer System Engineering (CSE) and now offers the Four Years Degree Program in Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer System Engineering.

The vision of the Department is to be a pivotal element in the field of Computing by producing "research-oriented" graduates, who not only strengthens the country's professional manpower but become an integral component of every industry.

The mission of the program provides quality, cutting edge education, exposes students to the developments in the field of computing and produces the qualified individuals who are able in the analysis, design & application of the Computer System.

The program objective is to equip potential graduates with the fundamental knowledge and the technical skills in the relevant and the connected areas of the field. The program helps in developing the research interest in individuals and aspires in the advance studies for specialized areas.Preparing graduates with thorough background to work professionally in local and international environment. The curriculum is designed to meet the requirement of educational, research and market trends. An understanding of the social, economic and safety considerations is stressed in the curriculum. Curriculum is approved by the BoS. Graduate has an ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, probability & statistics, computer science and engineering as it applies to the fields of Computer Engineering to meet desired needs.
