Dr. Muhammad Ali Shaikh has served as a Fulbright Scholar at American University, Washington, DC, USA. He holds his graduation in metallurgical engineering from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro and PhD in Mass Communication from University of Karachi. He also attended Fulbright Institute at University of Florida, USA. He completed his training in Financial Management at National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) Karachi and attended Pre-Service University teachers training program at National Academy on Higher Education (NAHE) at University Grants Commission (UGC) Islamabad.
Dr. Shaikh has served in various public and private sector positions. He has served as Director, SZABIST Center for Information & Research, Karachi and Assistant Professor, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro. Dr Shaikh has also served as Director-General, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Sindh, Director-General Coastal Development Authority, Director-General Ombudsman's Secretariat, Sindh, and Director-General (Colleges) Sindh. In addition he also held the positions of Chairman, Sindh Textbook Board, Jamshoro and Administrator, Sheikh Sultan Trust, Karachi in addition to being faculty member at American University, Washington, DC, USA.
